Choose "Iron Infusion IV" in our online scheduler and pick a time, Monday to Friday between 10 and 6. Rather talk to a person? Call the front desk at (480) 531-2557.
Bring your recent labs
Labs may be required, so bring your recent iron labs (ferritin and a CBC) from your OB or doctor. No recent labs? Call us and we'll tell you what you need.
Sit back while the iron runs
You relax in a reclining chair in our IV lounge while the iron runs slowly. Bring a book or your phone. We check on you the whole time and answer questions after you go home.

A lot of our iron patients are expecting and were sent by their OB to find an infusion. They get it in a recliner in our Gilbert office instead of a hospital infusion center.

What is an iron IV?
An iron IV gives you iron through a small IV line in your arm while you sit in a recliner, instead of taking a tablet at home. Your own doctor or OB may have already recommended one. Whether it is right for you depends on your labs and health history.
How much does an iron IV cost?
$250 per infusion. If your labs suggest you'll need more than one, we'll tell you before you commit to anything. Labs may be an additional cost if you don't already have recent results.
How long does it take?
Plan for up to 1.5 hours in the chair. Iron goes in slowly, and we watch you the whole time. Bring something to read or watch.
Do I need labs first?
Labs may be required. Recent iron labs (ferritin and a CBC) from your OB or doctor are ideal. If you don't have them, call us and we'll tell you what you need.
Can I get an iron infusion while I'm pregnant?
Many of our iron patients are pregnant and referred by their OB-GYN. Bring your recent labs and tell us how far along you are when you book.
How many infusions will I need?
That depends on your labs, so we won't guess before we see them. You'll get a straight answer once we have them.
Do you take insurance?
Naturopathic doctors aren't in-network with insurance plans, so the infusion is paid directly. HSA and FSA cards work, and some plans (Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield and UnitedHealthcare among them) may reimburse out-of-network naturopathic care. We'll give you a superbill to submit.
Do I have to become an ongoing patient?
No. Lots of people come to us only for iron. If you ever want help with anything else, we're here, but there's no program to join to get your infusion.
